TORONTO: TV Azteca of Mexico and ECTV of Ecuador have both signed up for Kid vs Kat from DECODE Enterprises.

Both terrestrial Latin American broadcasters picked up all 26 22-minute episodes of season one. The sales come on the heels of a second-season commission for a further 26 22-minute episodes of the series from Disney XD in the U.S., Disney XD in Europe and YTV in Canada.

Josh Scherba, the senior VP of distribution of DHX Media, parent company of DECODE, said: “Our shows have a significant presence in Latin America, and we’re keen to do more business in the region. Kid vs Kat is building a strong fan base, and the commitment from Disney XD and YTV to a second season gives us a solid foundation for further international deals.”
