Producers from Top Shows Headline PBC

LOS ANGELES: This year’s Produced By Conference (PBC), taking place June 4 to 6 at 20th Century Fox Studios, includes featured speakers from hit shows such as Curb Your Enthusiasm, Modern Family, Mad Men, The Simpsons, Cougar Town and more.

The second annual conference features a lineup that boasts Mark Gordon (Grey’s Anatomy); James L. Brooks, Al Jean and Matt Selnick (The Simpsons); John Ziffren (Greek, Make It or Break It); Nan Bernstein (Friday Night Lights); Tim Gibbons (Curb Your Enthusiasm); Jeffrey Morton (Modern Family); and Jon Pare (Southland). Further speakers include Matthew Weiner (Mad Men), Gary Goetzman (The Pacific, Band of Brothers, Big Love), Tim Kring (Heroes), Shawn Ryan (Lie To Me, The Unit, The Shield), Mara Brock Akil (Cougar Town, The Game, Girlfriends), David Eick (Caprica, Battlestar Galactica, Bionic Woman) and CNN founder Ted Turner.

Conference sessions focusing on producing for television include "Better, Faster, Cheaper: The Secrets of Producing Television in 2010," "The Golden Age of Scripted Television," "The Magic of Live Entertainment, "Conversation: The Simpsons," and "Get It On Air: Advice on Selling Reality TV Shows." The event is sponsored, produced and managed by the Producers Guild of America.
