World Screen Video Interview: Fitz Roy Media’s Hamp Hampton

NEW YORK: Fitz Roy Media’s president and CEO, Hamp Hampton, he explains his strategy for a new take on the kids’ business in this video interview.

A relative upstart in the kids’ and youth business, Fitz Roy Media is looking to navigate the challenges of the current market with a model that employs classic brands, short-form content that can be deployed on online and mobile services, and strong licensing and merchandising campaigns. Among Fitz Roy’s key properties are Funny Face, based on characters that first appeared in the ’60s as branding on a powdered drink packet; Heathcliff, the classic comic strip that is being reinvented for kids and young adults today; and Daktari Park, drawn from the literary works of Sue Hart.
