Beyond to Launch Cream’s I Could Do That! at MIPTV

SYDNEY: Beyond Distribution has added Cream Productions’ I Could Do That! to its catalogue and will launch the 13-episode series internationally at MIPTV.

The HD series was commissioned by Discovery Channel Canada and Discovery’s HD Theatre in the U.S. I Could Do That! will premiere in April in Canada, followed later this year by the launch in the U.S. The show gives viewers the chance to operate big machines that ordinarily would be inaccessible.

Fiona Crago, the general manager of Beyond Distribution, said, “It is fantastic news we are continuing our great partnership with Cream Productions and we happily welcome such first-rate factual programming to our catalogue. It is a beautifully shot series and our team is very excited to be presenting I Could Do That! as a key show on our MIP slate.”

Christopher Rowley, the co-founder and director at Cream Productions, commented, “Driving a diesel locomotive at high speeds or piloting a monster truck in a stadium filled with thousands of screaming fans is exciting, but not easy. The people who do these challenges really put themselves on the line. There are definitely some gut-wrenching moments, when we get to see whether they really have what it takes to do some pretty extreme things. Based on the success of this series Cream is really looking forward to expanding further into really challenging and experiential fact-ent formats.”

“With our partners at HD Theatre, we were delighted to collaborate with Cream on this entertaining and immersive series that really puts the Discovery viewer in the driver’s seat—quite literally!” added Bruce Glawson, the executive producer for Discovery Channel Canada. “We look forward to premiering I Could Do That! in the spring and we’re glad that Beyond is onboard to bring the series to viewers around the world.”
