Fireworks Inks Boomerang Deal on Family Biz

LONDON: Fireworks International has sold the live-action comedy series Family Biz to Boomerang in Latin America.

Produced by Muse Entertainment/Summit Crescent Productions and Breakout Films, the 26×30-minute series will premiere this month and will air in a evening prime-time slot. Family Biz follows the lives of three kids who have made their house into the neighbourhood social hub while their parents are away at work. When their dad gets downsized and begins to work out of his home office, the kids become employees of the Keller Family Corporation and are forced to learn the ropes of the world of business.

“We are pleased to continue our relationship with Fireworks International with our latest acquisition of the series Family Biz, which we are confident will be well-received by Boomerang viewers throughout Latin America," said Cindy Kerr, the VP of acquisitions and content delivery for Turner Broadcasting System Latin America. “Our previous acquisitions, The Assistants and Heartland, have been among the most watched shows on Boomerang."

Diana Zakis, the VP of sales for Latin America and Asia at Fireworks International, commented, “In working with Turner Broadcasting System Latin America, Inc. and their vibrant teen and tween channel, Boomerang, we’ve found the perfect home for our series The Assistants and Heartland, and are now excited to add Family Biz, our latest tween live-action comedy series, to their quality lineup.”
