Evergreen Highlights Little Krishna, Crazy Cavemen

LONDON: The 3-D animated series Little Krishna leads off Evergreen Entertainment‘s slate, which also features Crazy Cavemen.

Little Krishna, from BIG Animation, has been a hit on Nickelodeon India. The 13-episode series features Little Krishna being relentlessly pursued by demons obeying evil King Kamsa’s orders. But Krishna is a legendary prankster and a savior of the masses, and unfailing defeats his enemies. "What attracted us to the project were the high-end production values," said Evergreen’s chief executive, Steve Walsh. "This is Hollywood quality with great design, wonderful scripts by American writer Jeffrey Scott and impeccable animation. We see this as a family title, the kind of production that can be shown during a holiday period to a true family audience. You don’t need to know anything about Indian culture and heritage to enjoy this great production."

Crazy Cavemen is a further highlight for Evergreen. The 39×7-minute comedy, aimed at 6- to 8-year-olds, is dialogue. The show has been created by Graham Ralph of Silver Fox and is being produced for the U.K.’s CBBC, scheduled for delivery at the end of 2010. "It is physical slapstick comedy, inspired by the classic 1950s Hollywood cartoons, updated in CGI with a contemporary feel," said Ralph. "With visual humour like this, who needs dialogue?"
