9 Story to Develop Series Based on Tween Book

TORONTO, October 2: 9
Story Entertainment is set to adapt the Canadian novelist Tish Cohen’s
young-adult book The Invisible Rules of The Zoë Lama into a live-action series.

The Invisible Rules of
The
Zoë Lama follows seventh-grader Zoë Costello, who is the
school’s go-to girl for everything from fashion to organizing class photos. The
series follows as a new girl with a “reputation” arrives at school and starts
questioning Zoë’s advise.

“Tish Cohen is an enormous
talent,” said 9 Story’s CEO, Vince Commisso. “The vibrant, genuine characters
she creates in her literary work translate wonderfully to the screen. The
stories and situations are easily relatable to young viewers and their
families. We are thrilled to partner with this celebrated author as 9 Story
continues to build its slate of high-profile, live-action projects.”

He continued, “We jumped
on the opportunity to work with Tish and be part of her growing success, both
here and in the US. We are very excited to be bringing Zoë Lama's contemporary, funny and poignant stories to
television."
