4Kids’ Notches Up New Sales for Dinosaur King

NEW YORK, January 4: 4Kids Entertainment’s new animated
series Dinosaur King has been picked up
by broadcasters across Europe, including Jetix.

In addition to Jetix, which will air the series in the U.K.,
Scandinavia and Spain, the series has been licensed to Italy’s Mediaset,
Germany’s RTL II, and France’s Canal J and France 3. The series is slated for a
fall 2008 rollout in Europe, and already airs in the U.S. on Saturday mornings
on 4Kids TV.

Dinosaur King
chronicles the adventures of Max, Rex and Zoe, known as the “D Team,” as they
race around the world to uncover secrets that bring dinosaurs back to life. Set
in the present time, Max, Rex and Zoe are able to transport themselves anywhere
in the world to hunt down the coveted dinosaur cards before the evil Alpha Gang
does.

Dinosaur
King

was arguably the hottest kids’ animated series at MIPCOM Jr.,” said Brian
Lacey, the executive VP of international at 4Kids Entertainment. “This early group of
powerful kids’ broadcaster commitments in Europe reflects the popularity and
confidence in the series. Its compelling storylines combine genuine adventure
with humor and heart, the elements common to all bonafide successful
international children’s programs.” Lacey added that he anticipates another
round of major market closings in territories including Australia, Latin
America and Canada before the NATPE market kicks off later this month.
