3DD’s Music Series Heads to Second Life

LONDON, August 7: 3DD Productions has licensed its
high-definition music series London Live
to Virtual Life, a channel from the online virtual world Second Life.

London Live will be
the first music show to appear on Virtual Life. Available to Second Life “avatars,”
citizens will be able to pick up a television set which includes a selection of
TV channels, one of which will be dedicated solely to 3DD’s London
Live.

Known in the U.K. as The Album
Chart Show
, London Live is currently in its third season, airing on Channel 4 and
E4, and is presented by BBC1 Radio DJ Sara Cox. Showcasing some of the biggest
album releases, the series has featured performances and interviews with
music artists such as Paul Weller, Pink, Franz Ferdinand and The Killers. London
Live
is filmed in high definition in front
of a live audience at the legendary music venue Koko.

Since opening to the public in 2003, Second Life has grown
to include more than 8 million residents from around the globe.

Will Ennett, the sales manager of new media at 3DD Digital,
commented: “In the real world, London Live
is a popular show for fans of live music and we’re really excited about the
opportunities for Second Life avatars to interact and engage on another level
with the content.”
