Werner Herzog Working on New Feature Documentary Fireball

Spring Films is working with legendary documentary maker Werner Herzog, who will team up once again with Geo-scientist Professor Clive Oppenheimer to co-direct a new feature doc that explores mankind’s relationship to meteorites.

In Fireball, Herzog and Oppenheimer will take viewers on a journey around the world to discover how meteorites and comets inspire mythology and religion and what they can tell us about the extraterrestrial origins of life on Earth, the birth of the universe itself and perhaps maybe even our own destiny.

The two previously collaborated on the Emmy-nominated feature documentary Into the Inferno.

“We’re really excited to work with Werner Herzog and Clive Oppenheimer again as they turn their gaze to the stars,” said Spring Films’ head of global development, Figs Jackman.
