Mother Media Group has entered into a first-look agreement with STXtv, the TV division of STX Entertainment.

The partnership will initially see the two businesses work together to create, produce and distribute unscripted and hybrid series for broadcast networks, new media and cable in the U.S., China, India and other international markets. Mother Media Group, which was recently founded by former Endemol Shine President Eden Gaha and Fox Studio Attorney Wynn Rees, is currently co-producer on Amazon Prime Video’s upcoming series All or Nothing: New Zealand All Blacks and is working with Universal Television Alternative Studio on NBC’s The Awesome Show, a new series starring Chris Hardwick. STXtv currently has several projects in development or on the air, including Valley of the Boom (National Geographic) and The Platinum Life (E!).

“We are delighted to be working together with STX and to have the opportunity to create fresh and exciting television programming for both U.S. and global audiences,” said Mother Media Group’s Gaha. “STX has a global vision and progressive approach to the production, marketing and distribution of talent-driven content, which aligns well with Mother Media Group’s objectives.”

“Eden is a veteran in the unscripted space, with a proven track record of producing compelling programs both in the U.S. and internationally,” said Jason Goldberg, STX’s chief creative officer for unscripted and alternative programming. “We’re thrilled to enter this partnership and leverage our collective strengths to create quality original programming with an eye towards productions that have the potential to travel across the globe.”
