LOS ANGELES: As STX Entertainment bolsters its newly launched non-scripted TV business, the company has inked multiyear production deals with Brant Pinvidic’s INvelop Entertainment and Ryan Holcomb’s Tower 2 Productions.

It was recently announced that Jason Goldberg, STX’s president of non-scripted and alternative programming, and the company’s non-scripted production team are creating original programming in the U.S., China and India. STX Non-Scripted has already signed development agreements for a dozen series to channels in the U.S. and Asia, including NBC, The CW, Food Network, Syfy, Oxygen, HISTORY and Freeform. STX will become the first U.S.-based entertainment company involved in a broadcast TV program airing in China. Thank You for Your Love, a celebrity-led variety show developed in collaboration with XG Entertainment, is due to debut to one billion viewers later this year.

INvelop Entertainment was launched by Pinvidic in January 2016. The full-service multimedia production company focuses on unscripted TV and feature-length docs. Pinvidic previously was the president and chief creative officer for 3 Ball Entertainment. Tower 2 Productions comes to STX Non-Scripted from Rogue Atlas Productions and Lionsgate TV, where Holcomb most recently served as senior VP of development after spending the past half decade developing and producing unscripted content.

“Brant is a creative force in the unscripted space and we’re excited to be in business with the entire INvelop team,” said Goldberg. “Ryan Holcomb is a smart producer with an eye for IP that translates across multiple screens. Programming directly in the U.S. and Asia for linear and short-form platforms is an important component of STX’s larger business operation and we will continue to strategically identify and partner with the right production companies that can help us create compelling programming for the world market at the highest level.”

“Announcing this continued expansion of STX Non-Scripted so soon after the launch of the division demonstrates our commitment to this arena,” added Sophie Watts, the president of STX Entertainment. “STX is determined to provide audiences with a variety of excellent content across film, scripted, unscripted and other media. Attracting talented partners like Brant and Ryan will help us build our content portfolio and please global audiences across a number of distribution channels.”
