Sony Pictures Television (SPT) and E-Vision have renewed and extended their multiyear SVOD agreement in the Middle East.

The new pact sees SPT and E-Vision bolster their existing relationship with a range of premium TV series and film SVOD rights. Series airing this year include the first seasons of The Art of More, Kevin Can Wait, Chosen and Outsiders.

In addition, the two have renewed and extended their existing TVOD deal for the eLife transactional service known as eLife On Demand, bringing all of SPT’s new releases and key library titles to the TVOD service of Etisalat.

Humaid Sahoo, the CEO of E-Vision, said: “Based in our objective to continue to enhance our content catalog for Etisalat and partners, E-Vision is thrilled to expand our relationship with Sony Pictures Television. We believe the access to top content from Sony will continue to drive the uptake of our service, and cement our partnership with Sony Pictures Television even further.”

Noemie Weisse, the senior VP of distribution at SPT, added: “We are delighted to renew and continue our relationship with our friends at E-Vision. Our premium content and their exceptional offering is a perfect fit. We look forward to seeing continued subscriber growth of eLife as E-Vision continues to enhance the caliber of content on eLife TV service across the region.”
