Serious Lunch has secured a new round of deals for Ronja, the Robber’s Daughter, including in the U.S. and China.

The 26-part animated series, from Studio Ghibli and The Astrid Lindgren Company, has been licensed to GKIDS in the U.S., UYoung Media in China and PTS in Taiwan. Deals with RTBF for French Belgium, RTS for French Switzerland and TF1 Max in France kick-start the production of a French version.

Genevieve Dexter, CEO of Serious Lunch, said: “We are pleased to expand the reach of this exquisite animated family program for our partners Studio Ghibli and The Astrid Lindgren Company and hope to close further French-speaking rights deals at MIFA in Annecy next month. We are also seeking deals in Italy for all platforms.”
