Puffin Rock, an animated preschool show narrated by Chris O’Dowd, is due to debut this month on Channel 5’s refreshed Milkshake! programming block.

Puffin Rock follows the comedic adventures of a family of birds living on an Irish island. The show, which originally premiered on Ireland’s RTÉjr in 2015, aims to teach young viewers interesting facts about the natural world. It is co-produced by Penguin Random House, Cartoon Saloon and Dog Ears, with Hoho Rights handling U.K. and international licensing outside of China.

“We were completely charmed by the sweet characters that occupy Puffin Rock and the artistry of the series,” said Sarah Muller, the head of children’s at Channel 5. “The show will be a fantastic addition to the new-look Milkshake! lineup. Also, I just really love puffins.”

Richard Haines, the head of acquisitions and TV development at Penguin Random House Children’s, added: “I am delighted that our little puffins are flying onto Milkshake!”
