Nickelodeon Taps Global Live Entertainment Head

Nickelodeon has appointed Susan Vargo as its new VP of global live entertainment, based in London.

Vargo will work under Anne Mullen, executive VP of preschool brand creative and marketing, global experience design. She will oversee the creative development and production of all major Nickelodeon ticketed and select non-ticketed stage shows as well as entertainment programs for the brand’s resorts, theme parks and attractions around the globe.

Vargo will manage a team that brings Nickelodeon characters to life through various entertainment programs at location-based experiences worldwide, including the forthcoming Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Riviera Maya.

Most recently, Vargo served as executive producer of the Tony-winning Broadway hit The SpongeBob SquarePants Musical, which she will continue to work on. She has also produced a number of successful live global tours for Nick characters from Dora the Explorer, The Backyardigans and PAW Patrol.
