ITVS GE Unveils New Thunderbirds Are Go App

LONDON: ITV Studios Global Entertainment (ITVS GE), in association with Pukeko Pictures and developer Behind the Story, have launched the new Thunderbirds Are Go: Adventures application.

Thunderbirds Are Go: Adventures recreates a futuristic console within space-based Thunderbird 5 where kids can experience more of the Thunderbirds Are Go story. Users can read about each mission, explore the craft and characters in 3D and complete challenges for International Rescue, unlocking new features along the way. The app is now available for free download on iTunes in the U.K., U.S., Australia and New Zealand.

Beyond the Story CEO Jen Porter commented: “Our passion is bringing stories to life in a highly interactive and engaging way in the digital space. With this app we’ve taken our work into new dimensions, turning each Thunderbirds Are Go episode into a written story with fantastic supporting content. Children can now join the famous Tracy brothers in their daring rescues.”

Sir Richard Taylor, Pukeko’s founder, noted: “As a child, I was captivated by the Thunderbirds, so it’s terrific to be involved in bringing the show back to the screen for a new generation to enjoy. The new app lets kids of any age experience the Thunderbirds on a new screen, in a new way. The team at Beyond the Story has channeled the Tracy brothers’ selfless spirit of adventure into an experience that’s immersive, intelligent and, most importantly, really good fun!”

Steve Green, the executive VP of kids’ content and distribution at ITVS GE, added: “The talented team at Beyond the Story has developed an exciting new product with Thunderbirds Are Go: Adventures. We look forward to seeing the fans’ reaction to this innovative app.”
