HALIFAX: DHX Media has signed seven broadcast and VOD distribution agreements around the world for the animated comedy series Endangered Species.

CBBC in the U.K. snapped up Endangered Species for broadcast, as did Turner Broadcasting System Latin America for its Cartoon Network and Boomerang channels. The show is also headed to Gulli Russia for its Universkids network, Plus Plus Channel in the Ukraine, Israel's ZOOM, Daekyo Kids TV in South Korea and iflix in Southeast Asia.

Endangered Species follows the misadventures of a bunny, squirrel and seagull who constantly find themselves on the verge of extinction. The 52×11-minute series was originally commissioned by Corus Entertainment's TELETOON in Canada.

Steven DeNure, the president and COO at DHX Media, remarked: "One of the key drivers in our acquisition of Nerd Corps in 2014 was the quality of their kids' entertainment slate with Endangered Species amongst other standout titles. We are pleased to see that enthusiasm from international broadcasters for this series matches our own. Kids around the globe will no doubt be happily enthralled by the escapades of this hilarious and unlikely trio."
