Seven Network in Australia has picked up the format and finished version of Spun Gold Television’s The Real Full Monty from all3media international.

The Real Full Monty looks on as a group of male celebrities recreate the famous strip scent from the iconic movie while raising awareness for male cancers. The Australian adaptation will be hosted by comedian Shane Jacobson. all3media international has also secured sales with TVNZ in New Zealand for the show.

Daniela Neumann, the managing director of Spun Gold, stated: “The Real Full Monty is a big show with warmth, humor, joy and real emotion. And at its heart is an important message about the need for all of us to check ourselves regularly and not be afraid to talk about concerns we might have regarding cancer. We were inundated with messages from people saying that as a result of watching the show they got checked out and prevented a potentially fatal late diagnosis, so I’m incredibly proud that this deal with Seven Network and all3media international will provide the same opportunity to raise awareness but also bring great fun in a big entertainment show.”

Maartje Horchner, the executive VP of content at all3media international, added: “We are delighted to continue our successful first-look agreement with the team at Spun Gold—this great partnership has enabled us to represent an impressive roster of diverse and innovative content in the global market. The Real Full Monty is a perfect example of their strong sense of entertainment, and we’re pleased to find a partner in Seven for this fantastic series, in addition to the sales listed. We are also confident of a French version of the show via Pernel, with a format option signed on the eve of MIPTV. Spun Gold’s unique access to the British royal family via titles such as The Royal House of Windsor, When Phillip Met Prince Philip and Royal Recipes is also timely for international broadcasters as we approach the much-anticipated wedding in May.”
