Vivendi’s Studio+ has acquired the digital series Atropa, a love letter to the science-fiction movies of the ’70s and ’80s.
Atropa will be available in its first run worldwide from March 9 on Studio+, including in the U.S., where the service has just launched. In the series, the research vessel Atropa vanishes from radar and Off-World Officer Cole Freeman is sent to investigate. Upon boarding the missing spaceship, he quickly finds himself wrapped up in a much larger mystery: the Atropa has collided with another version of itself.
Atropa is part of the Studio71 short-form scripted series catalog.
