The Hulu original series East Los High has been snapped up by Channel 5’s My5 in the U.K., the Fox channel in the Middle East, TV2 in Norway, SVT in Sweden and iflix in Africa.

The half-hour series features inner-city high school students who confront difficult social challenges while pursuing their dreams in the world of dance. The teen drama is billed as the first English-language show with an all-Latino cast, creators and writers.

East Los High was created by Carlos Portugal and Kathleen Bedoya and is produced by Wise Entertainment. Dynamic Television has worldwide distribution rights (excluding the U.S.) for all four seasons of the series.

East Los High targets the highly sought-after teen market with engaging characters, emotional storylines and cutting-edge music and dance,” said Daniel March, the managing partner of Dynamic Television. “We think our partners are going to have great success given the binge quality of the show.”

Andrea Amey, the head of digital content at Channel 5, and Anna-Belen Dunlop, the acquisitions and channel manager at Channel 5, said: “We’re excited to offer East Los High exclusively on My5 this autumn. With its universal storylines and strong characters, it complements the drama that we have across the rest of the Channel 5 family, whilst appealing to the younger My5 audience.”
