Original Stand-Up Comedy Show Debuts on iflix in Indonesia

iflix is premiering today Oi! Jaga Lambe, the service’s first original stand-up comedy series in Indonesia.

Oi! Jaga Lambe is hosted by comedian and presenter Ananda Omesh. All eight episodes are now available for streaming. The show features established acts alongside fresh talent, with performances that are uncensored in a series of stand-up routines and improvised games. The Indonesian version marks the third edition of the format. Oi! Jaga Mulut (Malaysia) and Hoy! Bibig Mo (the Philippines) are hosted by Haniff Hamzah and Ramon Bautista, respectively.

Mark Francis, iflix’s global director of original programming, commented, “Following the success of Oi! Jaga Mulut in Malaysia and Hoy! Bibig Mo in the Philippines, we’re excited to bring the same boundary pushing, hilarious stand-up comedy concept to Indonesia and to establish iflix as the destination for the region’s most talented funnymen and women. From vibrating dildos on set to escaping from a mob of horny transvestites, our comics tackle taboos and everyday situations in Indonesia with hilarious aplomb.”

“We realize not everybody gets to go to comedy clubs, so with this show we’re putting that opportunity directly in your hands,” Francis added. “Delivering hyper-local, high-impact content is at the crux of our original programming strategy, and we’re committed to raising the bar for the enjoyment of all iflix subscribers.”
