TORONTO: Good God, a comedy series from Shaftesbury, is headed to Foxtel’s The Comedy Channel in Australia, where it is due to debut later this month.

Starring Ken Finkleman, Good God centers on a left-leaning television producer who becomes the head of a right-leaning news network. The 10×30-minute show will debut on The Comedy Channel in Australia on March 27. It is produced by Shaftesbury in collaboration with The Movie Network, Movie Central and the Canada Media Fund.

Good God, which premiered on Canada’s The Movie Network and Movie Central in April 2012, will be presented by Shaftesbury at MIPTV next month.

"With a vastly talented ensemble cast of characters and timely humor drawn from the global political landscape, Good God offers a sharply satirical take on the TV news business that audiences in Australia and around the world will no doubt enjoy," said Shane Kinnear, the senior VP of sales and marketing at Shaftesbury.
