Zodiak Secures Deals for Born to be Wild

LONDON, September 15:
Zodiak International has completed a range of deals for its music-driven
prime-time entertainment format Born to be Wild.

The format, from Zodiak
group company Broadcasters Oy, has been picked up by Nine Network in Australia,
Four Luck Banana in Spain, Kanakna in Belgium and the Netherlands, Jarowskij in
Sweden and Mastiff in Norway. The format launched in Finland earlier this year
on MTV3.

Born to be Wild follows the training of a rock-and-roll choir of
senior citizens. A heavy-metal singer and famous drummer select the singers, all over 75
years old. A rigorous training camp
then prepares them for a big performance and selects the final group with tough
yet warm sessions with rock masters.

Jorg
Roth, the managing director of Zodiak International, said: “Producers and
broadcasters worldwide have shown great interest in the format and we are
delighted to conclude this range of deals. Born to be Wild contains all the best elements of a music-driven
talent show whilst offering a real sense of warmth and humor, which we are
confident will resonate with international audiences.”
