Zodiak Renews Agreement with Firecracker Films

LONDON: Zodiak Rights has re-upped its first-look development deal with Firecracker Films, the producers of the hit series Big Fat Gypsy Weddings, for another three years.

As part of the renewal, Zodiak has the rights for season two of Big Fat Gypsy Weddings and three new spin-offs: My Bigger Fatter Gypsy Wedding, My Big Fat Gypsy Christmas and Thelma’s Gypsy Girls. All the programs are produced by Firecrackers for Channel 4 in the U.K.

Matthew Frank, the CEO of Zodiak Rights, said: “Firecracker Films is a distributor’s dream as they provide us with a constant supply of really great shows. Big Fat Gypsy Weddings is just the latest in a long line of international best sellers we’ve sold for them over the last decade so naturally we’re delighted to be cementing the relationship for a further three years.”
