Zodiak Highlights NATPE Roster

MIAMI: Zodiak Rights is in Miami at NATPE with a slate that includes the new entertainment format Family Explorer, as well as the U.S. version of Being Human, among others. 

The 90-minute format Family Explorer (working title) is an adventure game show that watches five families of four camp in the wilderness for 20 days. They must exhibit family spirit through a range of physical tests to win, while the losing family must send a member into "exile." Cookery School, produced for Channel 4, is a competition between budding chefs as they try to stay in a top school taught by a a celebrity chef. The hour-long format The Call is a prime-time game show where prank calls are what wins the contestants money. 

There’s also Deal with It!, a half-hour hidden-camera series in which unsuspecting members of the public are approached by the production team to take part in a game show. The entertainment format Sing If You Can features talented amateur singers as they attempt to deliver a winning performance, despite a myriad of distractions. That’s My Kid is a family show that challenges parents to prove they really know what’s going on in their kid’s heads. 

Also on the slate is Water Connection (working title), a crime mini-series centered on the life of a young police commissioner who finds himself struggling to solve a series of homicides rooted in the so-called water crisis going on in an Italian city. The U.S. adaptation of the hit British series Being Human recently debuted on Syfy and is on offer for the international market as well. 

The portfolio is rounded out by the documentary Wikileaks: War, Lies and Videotape, which goes behind the scenes of Wikileaks’ revelations.
