ZDF, FME Ink Licensing Deal

LAS VEGAS: FremantleMedia Enterprises (FME) has signed on to represent licensing for the ZDF Enterprises property The Elephant Princess, following on an existing deal for H20: Just Add Water.

FME will be managing the licensing program in Eastern, Central and Southern Europe across key categories, including publishing, retail, apparel, beauty, confectionary, accessories and interactive. Produced by Jonathan M Shiff, The Elephant Princess premiered in Germany on ZDF and Ki.Ka in May. ZDF’s H20: Just Add Water is also represented by FME in licensing, with deals already secured across publishing, apparel and beauty.

Diana M. Dieckmann, the VP of licensing for Germany, Eastern, Central and Southern Europe for Fremantle Licensing Germany, commented, “I’m really looking forward to working even more with ZDF Enterprises and to expanding our portfolio of children’s titles following our recent successes in this genre. The Elephant Princess is a fantastic show with many licensing opportunities.”

Sylvia Brucker, the director merchandising at ZDF Enterprises, added: “We are delighted to further strengthen our partnership with FremantleMedia Enterprises. We are convinced that The Elephant Princess will follow in the successful footsteps of H2O: Just Add Water.”
