ZDF Enterprises Unveils Dawn of the Ocean iPad App

HAMBURG/MAINZ: ZDF Enterprises and Hörzu Wissen magazine, published by Axel Springer, have co-produced a Dawn of the Ocean iPad app, which is now available to download through iTunes in Germany.

The app’s content is based on ZDF’s three-part documentary Terra X: Dawn of the Ocean and its related web content. The app lets users take on the role of five different marine species—whale, shark, turtle, tuna, deep-sea crab—and explore their habitats. The writers and producers of the ZDF series contributed to the app, along with scientific advisors.

The app is exclusive to iPad and is available now from Germany’s Apple App Store, priced at 3.99 euros.
