ZDF, CBC Team for HD Doc on India

MAINZ, October 4: ZDF and its commercial arm, ZDF
Enterprises, have teamed with the CBC for India Reborn, a four-part, high-definition multimillion-dollar
documentary coproduction.

Three India Reborn
episodes are being led by CBC teams, with the fourth being done by ZDF. S4C and
France 5 are on board as additional co-production partners, while ZDF
Enterprises will handle all worldwide sales.

India Reborn will
look at modern India through the eyes of individuals from all levels of
society, from billionaire capitalists and the new middle class to impoverished
rural farmers.

Fred Burcksen, the VP of distribution, merchandising and
investments at ZDF Enterprises, noted: "India, the biggest developing
country with the greatest economic potential, the largest democracy in the
world that will soon have the highest population, is going to attract more and
more public attention in the years to come. This dazzling documentary series
thus forms a crucial element in our sales drive on the subject of India for
2008/2009. On top of this, the production is a prime example of successful
co-operation between ZDF, ZDFE and CBC, with implications for future projects."
