WWE Scores Licensing Deals for Branded Apparel

STAMFORD, June 20: World
Wrestling Entertainment has reached
licensing agreements with fashion distributors Hybrid Tees and Fifth Sun
to roll out WWE-branded apparel into major mass and mid-tier retailers as well
as specialty and independent stores throughout the U.S.

Traditionally, WWE-branded
product has been sold primarily at WWE live events and online at WWEshop.com.
Hybrid Tees has produced WWE branded T-shirts, tank tops, fleeces and hats for
distribution to mass and mid-tier stores. Product has already been shipped to
JC Penney, Kohl’s, Mervyn’s, Goody’s and Target, among other retailers. Early results have been positive, with
sell-through showing above average results. Since their introduction earlier
this year, WWE branded T-shirts have become one of Target’s best-selling
apparel lines. This fall, JC Penney boys will also roll out a shop of WWE
products, which will include short and long tees, as well as fleece apparel.

Product from Fifth Sun
includes WWE branded T-shirts, tank tops, fleeces and onesies for distribution
at specialty and independent stores nationwide. Fifth Sun is already reporting
order figures above initial expectations, and is focused on expanding WWE
branded apparel into retailers with more aggressive and creative designs. The
company continues to grow their business with such customers as Hot Topic,
Spencer Gifts and Urban Outfitters.

These two new license
agreements are in addition to the WWE’s partnership with the national casual
apparel retailer Steve & Barry’s. WWE-branded apparel now available at
Steve & Barry’s includes sweatshirts, T-shirts, hats, and more. WWE branded
T-shirts, first introduced in early January 2007, have sold well at Steve &
Barry’s stores. A full apparel line will rollout at the retailer this fall.
