WPP’s Sorrell for MIPTV Keynote

PARIS: The CEO of the ad giant WPP Group, Sir Martin Sorrell, is set to deliver a keynote speech at MIPTV, during a day dedicated to branded content.

Sorrell’s speech is entitled "What screens will they watch—and what will be on them?" It takes place March 31, which will also feature keynotes from Chuck Porter, the chairman of Crispin Porter + Bogusky MDC Partners, and Christophe Lambert, the co-founder of the Blue agency. These keynotes kick off the first Content 360 Creative Summit on the theme of "Reinventing Storytelling," as well as two events organised with the Berlin School of Creative Leadership, the "Creativity for Effective Advertising" breakfast and the "Branded Entertainment" lunch.

"Professionals from the world of advertising and brands have been occupying an increasingly significant place at the MIP markets," said Paul Johnson, the outgoing head of Reed MIDEM’s television division. "The way television will be created and consumed in the future will bring the TV, digital and advertising segments together far more coherently than in the past. All three segments must now look to becoming stronger partners in order to grow their business further and Sir Martin will clearly illustrate how this process will take place."

Sorrell founded WPP in 1985 and the company is now present in 106 countries with more than 150 companies, among them Ogilvy, Young & Rubicam, Grey, JWT and Group M.
