New President for NBC Owned-and-Operated Television Stations

NEW YORK, July 19: John Wallace has been named the president
of NBC owned-and-operated television stations, succeeding Jay Ireland, who was
recently appointed president and CEO of GE Asset Management.

In his new role, effective immediately, Wallace will oversee
NBC’s 10 owned-and-operated, English-language stations, reporting to Jeff
Zucker, the president and CEO of NBC Universal. A 19-year veteran of NBC who
began his career as an NBC page, Wallace previously served as executive VP of
television operations and production services. In that role, Wallace's
responsibilities included designing a state-of-the-art studio, set and HD
technical facility for NBC News' Today
show and for Saturday Night Live,
as well as successfully planning and executing NBC's multichannel 2006 Winter
Olympic Games in Torino, Italy.

"John is a smart, energetic executive who knows how to
plan, execute, and lead a team," said Zucker. "He has been here for
nearly 20 years, much of that in our television stations division. He knows
this company inside and out. He has been a key part of our success for a number
of years, and his leadership skills and technical prowess will serve us well as
we continue to grow our stations group in this increasingly digital
world."
