World Screen Bolsters Editorial Team

NEW YORK, July 18: World
Screen
has promoted Kristin
Brzoznowski to managing editor, and has appointed Jackie Stewart as associate
editor, as it gears up to launch a range of new services in the coming months.

Brzoznowski joined World
Screen
in 2007 as an editorial
assistant and was upped to associate editor at the beginning of this year. She
works across all of World Screen’s print
and online publications, writing news, profiles and features and editing TV
Listings
. Her new role includes
supervising the production of the TV Kids Distributors Guide. She continues to report to Mansha Daswani,
executive editor, and Anna Carugati, group editorial director.

In addition, Jackie
Stewart has joined World Screen
as associate editor. She too will work across the company’s print and online
assets.

These announcements follow
the recent appointment of Elizabeth Bowen-Tombari as the editor of
Spanish-language publications, including the flagship TV Latina. Originally from Chile, Bowen-Tombari is a seasoned
print and broadcast journalist, with a decade spent as a reporter at Santiago-based
Megavision Network and several years at consumer magazines in Chile and the
U.S. She supervises a team that includes associate editors Rafael Blanco and
Isabel Santos.

“For the past several
years, World Screen has been
home to the best editorial team in the business,” says Ricardo Guise, the
president and publisher. “Anna is the recipient of an Emmy Award for
journalism, a Columbia DuPont honorable mention and the Associated Press award
for editorial excellence. She has been covering the media business for over two
decades and under her supervision, World Screen, in print, online and in video, has remained the
most trusted, respected source of information in the international content
industry. Kristin has proven to be a valuable addition to our team of editors,
which has now been bolstered by the addition of Jackie. Together with Mansha,
our three Spanish-language in-house editors and our stable of expert
correspondents around the world, we look forward to serving our readers, and
viewers, with the information they need in this ever-changing, dynamic
business.”
