WMP to Rep Turner Latin America’s The Band for Eastern Europe

WESTON: World Media Pictures (WMP) has been tapped as the exclusive distributor for Turner Broadcasting System Latin America’s original series The Band for Eastern Europe, and is currently showcasing the title as part of its DISCOP slate.

The Band takes place at an exclusive international boarding school. The students form two rival music bands, with only one allowed to remain. The teens are faced with the typical problems of adolescence, magnified by the fact that there are almost no adults in sight. The only thing that is always there for them is music.

World Media Pictures, led by former Dori Media and RCTV International exec Juan Antonia Fernandez, is shopping the title in Budapest, alongside its existing slate of telenovelas, documentaries, movies and series.
