Wild Talk Africa Extends Deadline for ROSCAR Awards

CAPE TOWN: The Wild Talk Africa Film Festival, which is to take place from March 28 to 31, 2011, in Cape Town, South Africa, has extended the deadline for ROSCAR Award entries by two weeks, to October 15.

The ROSCAR Awards recognize achievements in wildlife filmmaking. The existing ROSCAR Award categories are music, cinematography, limited budget, children’s natural history production, environmental production, editing, script, series, sound design, newcomer, African production and the Judge’s Choice Award. Judges for the ROSCAR Awards include well-known professionals in the wildlife filmmaking industry, with representation from leading wildlife companies and broadcasters including National Geographic, Animal Planet, BBC and NHU.

To submit a production for consideration for a ROSCAR Award, log on to wildtalkafrica.com, before the October 15 deadline. The winners will be announced at a black-tie gala event during the festival on March 30.
