LONDON: The British indie Wide-Eyed Entertainment is set to open a U.S. office, led by Parule Basu-Barua as managing director and executive VP.

Jasper James, CEO, and David McNab, creative director, will continue to oversee the U.K. operations. Wide-Eyed Entertainment works with international broadcasters such as National Geographic US, Discovery Networks, Smithsonian Networks, ITV and SUPER RTL, among others. Recent projects on the roster include The Egyptian Job, March of the Dinosaurs, Civil Warriors and Werewolves.

Basu-Barua commented, “North America is an important territory for us and since the launch of WEE in 2008 we have built strong relationships with the major networks. The new office will enable us to build on our reputation. It is important to WEE that we remain close with the broadcasters and are able to deliver programming that rates well for them.”
