WBITD’s Alastair McKenzie Gets Expanded Role

BURBANK: Alastair McKenzie has been promoted to senior VP of legal and business affairs for Europe at Warner Bros. International Television Distribution (WBITD).

Moving up from VP of the same post, McKenzie will take on expanded responsibilities in all aspects of legal and business affairs for the division, supporting the licensing and distribution-related agreements for WBITD, the division’s branded services in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and the division’s newly established local production business. Based in London, McKenzie continue to report to Renee Wolf, the senior VP of business affairs and deputy general counsel at Warner Bros. International Television Distribution. McKenzie joined WBITD in 1999 as manager of legal and business affairs for Europe and was promoted to senior counsel in 2000. He went on to become director in January 2003 and VP in November 2003.

“Alastair has been a key member of the London-based legal team for many years,” said Wolf. “As our industry grows and our deals become even more complex, he will play an increasingly important role in each of our businesses in Europe.”
