WBITD Promotes Rothblum

BURBANK/MUNICH, June 29: Sylvia Rothblum has been promoted to senior VP and managing
director of German-speaking territories at Warner Bros. International Television
Distribution (WBITD).

Based in Munich, Rothblum will report to Robert Blair, the
senior VP of Northern Europe at WBITD, and Willi Geike, the president and
managing director of Warner Bros. Entertainment in Germany. In her new
position, she will supervise WBITD’s operations in German-speaking Europe,
where she will oversee the licensing of Warner Bros. Entertainment
content—including television series, theatrical motion pictures, movies
for television and animation—to free- and pay-TV operators over terrestrial,
cable, satellite and IPTV platforms, as well as to selected new-media clients
in the areas of ad-supported video-on-demand and subscription video-on-demand.

Rothblum was promoted from her previous position as VP and
managing director of German-speaking territories. She joined WBITD in 2002. Before
joining WBITD, she worked at EM.TV for four years as the senior VP of
production and co-production, where she was responsible for the company’s
co-production and acquisition efforts. From 1994-1997, Rothblum worked at
Nickelodeon in a variety of roles and was instrumental in the launch of
Nickelodeon’s cable network in several European territories. She joined
Nickelodeon in 1994 as a pre-launch coordinator in Munich and was promoted a
year later to program director and head of acquisitions. From 1996-1997, she
served as the executive producer of program strategy in Europe for Nickelodeon
International, also based in Munich.
