WBD Expands Partnership with CANAL+

Warner Bros. Discovery has signed a new multiyear, multi-territory agreement with CANAL+ that will expand the distribution of HBO Max and renew several thematic and free-to-air channels across Europe and Africa.

The expanded agreement expands the reach of HBO Max via CANAL+ to Belgium and Austria. It also renews the distribution of HBO Max in Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania.

The new deal also includes the renewal of the distribution of 12 WBD thematic channels across MultiChoice Group territories, with some offered exclusively. This includes CNN International and Cartoon Network, exclusively in South Africa and non-exclusively in other territories; Cartoon Network Porto, exclusively in Angola and Mozambique and non-exclusively in other territories; and Cartoonito, Cartoonito Porto, Discovery Channel, Discovery Family, Real Time, ID, TLC, HGTV, Travel, TNT Africa and Food Network, non-exclusively.

Cartoon Network, Cartoonito and CNN International have also been renewed for Romania, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Warner TV was renewed in the Czech Republic. HBO and Cinemax were renewed in Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania.
