Adolescence Wins Big at Critics Choice Awards

At the 31st Critics Choice Awards, Netflix’s Adolescence took the top prize in four categories, and HBO Max’s The Pitt and Apple TV’s The Studio took home three awards each.

Adolescence was presented with the best limited series award. In the performance categories for limited series or movies made for TV, Stephen Graham won for best actor, Owen Cooper took the top prize for supporting actor and Erin Doherty won for supporting actress.

The Pitt was awarded best drama series, and Noah Wyle won for best actor in a drama series. Katherine LaNasa took the prize for best supporting actress in a drama.

The Studio won best comedy series, with lead actor Seth Rogen and supporting actor Ike Barinholtz winning for their performances.

Apple TV won big in other categories as well, with Thea Seehorn winning best actress in a drama series for her role in Pluribus and Tramell Tillman winning best supporting actor in a drama for his role in Severance.

Jean Smart won the best actress in a comedy series award for her role in HBO Max’s Hacks, while the best supporting actress in a comedy prize went to Janelle James for ABC’s Abbott Elementary. Top actress in a limited series was presented to Sarah Snook for her role in Peacock’s All Her Fault.

The best foreign-language series award went to Netflix’s Squid Game. Comedy Central’s South Park took home the best animated series prize. Best made-for-TV movie was given to Peacock’s Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy.
