BURBANK: Warner Bros. International Television Production has secured the rights to distribute the new NorthSouth Productions format Impractical Jokers, available at MIPCOM.

Beginning in December, the half-hour series will air on truTV in the U.S. It features four friends—Sal, Murr, Q and Joe—pulling ridiculous and humiliating public pranks.

“We are proud and delighted to bring Impractical Jokers to MIPCOM as a format and finished program. Like all the best concepts, the formula is incredibly simple and strong, and we know it will make audiences laugh across the world,” said Andrew Zein, the senior VP of creative and format development and sales at Warner Bros. International Television Production.

"We could not be more pleased to find ourselves in bed with Warner Brothers…internationally speaking. Oddly, it’s been a fantasy of ours since high school. We’re very excited about bringing Impractical Jokers to the world,” commented Murr, Joe, Sal and Q, the executive producers of the series.
