Warner Bros. Movies & Series Set for NonStop Channels

STOCKHOLM/BURBANK: Warner Bros. International Television Distribution (WBITD) and NonStop Television have firmed up an agreement that brings movies such as The Exorcist and Manchurian Candidate as well as series including Men in Trees and Notes from the Underbelly to the channels Showtime and TNT7 in Scandinavia.

The multiyear pact brings a package of more than 50 feature films and TV shows from the Warner Bros. Entertainment collection to Showtime and TNT7 starting immediately. Among the movies included in the deal are The Witches of Eastwick, starring Jack Nicholson, Cher, Susan Sarandon and Michelle Pfeiffer; Before Sunset, featuring Ethan Hawke; Forever Young, with Mel Gibson and Jamie Lee Curtis; Miner, from a script by J.J. Abrams; Everything is Illuminated, based on a novel by Jonathan Safran Foer; and The Goonies, from Steven Spielberg, Richard Donner and Chris Columbus. TV series are also part of the deal, featuring titles such as Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, a drama starring Matthew Perry, and The Nine, a thriller from executive producer Hank Steinberg.

“The deal with Warner Bros. is yet another step in strengthening our line up for TNT7 and Showtime. Our channels are now loaded with great content for 2011 and 2012,” said Ignas Scheynius, the CEO of NonStop Television.
