Walter Cronkite Joins Retirement Living TV

WASHINGTON, November 15: Retirement Living TV (RLTV), the first network dedicated to people 55 and older, has announced that former CBS news anchor Walter Cronkite has joined the channel as a contributor to its live daily program Daily Café.

Cronkite’s weekly editorials, titled “Cronkite Commentaries, will air on Daily Café, a live two-hour program anchored daily from Washington, D.C., and hosted by former CNN anchors Felicia Taylor and Bobbie Battista. Daily Café also includes news updates from NBC News.

As a contributor to Daily Café, Cronkite will share his perspective on today’s events, focusing on issues at home and abroad such as politics, education, healthcare, foreign policy and the environment. In the coming weeks “Cronkite Commentaries” will look at the presidential primaries, and the upcoming political party conventions. Other covered topics include environmental issues such as global warming and water consumption.

For almost two decades, Cronkite served as anchorman and managing editor for the CBS Evening News with Walter Cronkite. Cronkite joins a roster of veteran journalists on RLTV, including John Palmer, Lea Thompson, Felicia Taylor and Bobbie Battista.
