Waiting for Superman Gets Same Day VOD/DVD Release

EL SEGUNDO: The documentary Waiting for Superman is now available on the DIRECTV CINEMA platform, coinciding day and date with its DVD release.

Waiting for Superman chronicles the state of public education through the stories of a set of families who are searching for alternatives and reformers out to prove that all kids can learn. DIRECTV is donating a portion of the proceeds from rentals of the doc to help schools in need through the charity DonorsChoose.org. The charity enables anyone to connect to public school classrooms in a personal way by funding projects requests posted directly by teachers in need.
