VVI’s You and Me: A New Day Returns to Boomerang in Latin America

MIAMI: Boomerang in Latin America has set a November 2 premiere date for the new season of Venevision International’s (VVI) teen series Somos tú y yo: Un nuevo día (You and Me: A New Day).

You and Me: A New Day takes on a new spin this season, as it relives the golden era of the late ’50s. The series will be broadcasted in Spanish-speaking countries in Latin America through Boomerang. The show will incorporate more music, with genres such as rock n roll, mambo and the cha cha cha, as well as new songs interpreted by the cast of the series. You and Me: A New Day features the return of Judith Vasquez and Jose Vieira, and the special participation of Luis Perez Pons and Deyses Heras. The script is written by Vladimir Perez, along with Cesar Sierra, author of A todo corazon (It’s All Heart), and Natalia Martinez.

“With the success obtained by Boomerang with the first two seasons of Somos tú y yo, driven by the phenomenon that has been caused by this new stage of the teen musical series, we are confident that A New Day will surpass our expectations in Latin America,” said Cesar Diaz, the VP of sales for Venevision International.

“We are pleased to bring back our audience’s beloved stars and allow them to enjoy this new and exciting version of Somos tú y yo, a proven hit on Boomerang,” added Vicky Zambrano, the channel director for Boomerang Latin America.
