VOOM HD Networks Expands Library of Children’s HD Content

NEW YORK, September 18: VOOM
HD Networks has acquired three new programs for premiere on its kids- and
family-targeted channels Family Room HD and Animania HD: RenegadePress.com, Animal Atlas, and Katakune.

The 28×30-minute RenegadePress.com, acquired from FilmOption International, premiered
on Family Room HD on Saturday, September 15, while the 52×30-minute series Animal
Atlas, picked up from Midori, will
debut on the channel on Tuesday, October 2. RenegadePress.com follows a teenager and aboriginal hip-hop artist
named Jack Sinclair (Bronson Pelletier) and his best friend Zoey Jones (Ksenia
Solo) as they set up an underground e-zine called renegadepress.com. Animal
Atlas explores animal wildlife,
allowing viewers to see where a specific animal lives, how it eats, how it
plays, how the family unit operates, and what threatens and supports its
survival.

Meanwhile, Animania HD has
secured the exclusive U.S. high-definition television rights from Princ Films,
the North American distributor, to the first 52 episodes of the 3D-animated
preschool series Katakune.
Scheduled to premiere on Animania HD’s preschool block in November, Katakune
features a tiny silkworm living in
the colorful world of Tazzleland, where he meets a world of new friends,
becomes aware of his environment, and learns about friendship, responsibility,
safety and kindness.
