VMtv Firms Up Director of Programs Post

LONDON, January 7: Daniela
Neumann, who has been serving as the acting director of programs at Virgin
Media Television (VMtv) for the last year, has been given a permanent
appointment.

Neumann, who has been
covering a maternity leave for Celia Taylor, will continue to report directly
to Claudia Rosencrantz, the director of television for VMtv. Throughout 2008,
Neumann has overseen the programming strategy for Virgin1, Bravo, Bravo 2,
Challenge and Trouble. She has been responsible for commissioning hit shows
such as And Proud, The
Prisoner: X
and The North Sea, and acquiring new U.S. shows such as the animated
HBO comedy The Life and Times of Tim.

Rosencrantz said:
"I'm thrilled that Dani has agreed to come on board permanently here at
VMtv. She has guided her channels to great success over the past year, helping
our portfolio increase by 15 percent during that time. In particular she has
really given Virgin1 its mainstream voice—a fantastic achievement."

Neumann commented:
"I'm delighted to continue working on the channels I have grown to love
over the last year. I'm thrilled we have had such a great start to 2009 already
and we have big ambitions for the rest of the year to take the channels from
strength to strength."
