Vivendi Visual Entertainment to Launch DVD Line for PBS Kids Series

LOS ANGELES, May 18: Vivendi
Visual Entertainment (V V E), the home entertainment division of Universal
Music Group Distribution, has reached a multi-year deal to launch a line of
one-hour DVDs for the PBS children’s series Mustard Pancakes.

The first installment of
the music-based series is expected to rollout this September. Under the
agreement, the line of DVDs will be theme-driven, covering topics such as
holidays and favorite songs. Created by Joel Wertman and Courtney Campbell, Mustard
Pancakes
features the loveable and
talented Ms. Campbell, who performs original songs on the show; her cat, Mr. D;
and her three dogs, Oogleberry Ink Dog, Tiny Tina Ten Toes and Mo. Each episode
mirrors a slice of everyday life, from problems to celebrations and everything
in between.
