Vivendi Posts Revenue Gains

PARIS, July 24: Revenues
for the first half of the year at Vivendi were up 10.2 percent to 11.3 billion
euros, the company announced today, with a 15.1-percent gain in second-quarter
revenues to 6 billion euros.

In the first half, Canal+
Group’s revenues were up 4.6 percent to 2.25 billion euros. Revenues from
pay-TV operations in France grew 3.9 percent, with other revenues up 10
percent. Canal+ Group’s second-quarter revenues were up 4.8 percent to 1.1
billion euros. The division’s subscription portfolio at the end of June was
10.44 million—including 5.26 million at Canal+ and 5.2 million at
CanalSat/TPS.
