VIVA Slates Fall Programming

TORONTO: This September, VIVA adds the new original series Murder She Solved to its lineup, along with the doc series The Devil You Know.

Murder She Solved launches on September 11. The hour-long documentary series features female crime solvers who have unraveled some of Canada’s most daunting murder cases. The hour-long doc series The Devil You Know, which kicks off September 25, chronicles criminals and the loved-ones they deceived.

Ghostly Encounters heads into a fourth season on September 25. The show details the stories of people’s interactions with the supernatural. Also returning to VIVA is Healthy Gourmet, back for a second season. The half-hour series follows Julie Daniluk and chef Ezra Title as they confront the battle between taste and nutrition.

Further series on VIVA’s fall roster include The Locator, which follows Troy Dunn as he helps reunite people with long-lost friends and family. The Closer premieres in its fourth season on August 30, airing every Monday through Thursday at 9 p.m.

VIVA’s Independent Women event showcases special themed films ever Sunday starting September 5. The lineup will feature the actresses Sigourney Weaver, Diane Keaton, Sally Field and Susan Sarandon. VIVA’s Sunday Film Studies block will feature And She Was, Mrs. Washington Goes to Smith, Dear Prudence and Ambulance Girl.
